first love - notes i wrote in my diary 5 years ago when i was 17
Am I in love ?? It’s so scary to be in love I don’t know if he loves me. He doesn’t even know how happy I get when I see him, my heart genuinely starts beating so fast and my eyes glow, he’s even told me they do.

yeah i’m a bit of a hopeless romantic…
Yeah I’m a bit of a hopeless romantic Do u know how badly I wanna write someone a cute love letter every week with a bunch of lipstick kisses on it & buy anniversary gifts for them and wrap them up in cute bows and make pretty cards and play with their hair for hours at a time while listening to them babble about something they’re so interested about while I admire the way their eyes twinkle when they talk about it and go lie in the grass with them in the dark and count all the stars until we get tired and I get to sleep on his chest and go on a cute picnic with someone where I bring hand picked vegetables from my garden & bake sugar cookies and pick out flowers and put them in their hair while they lie in my lap and listen to me talk for hours and watch all their favourite shows with them just because they like them and complimenting them when they look cute and seeing their smile lines show up and going on long long walks where we act like children and run around stupid while he chases me down and catches me and go grocery shopping with him where we spend so much time trying to pick out the perfect watermelon and sitting on top of a hilly area and watching the sunset while we talk about our life stories and going to the carnival during the evening where we go on the Ferris wheel together and going hiking where we hold hands and make sure none of us fall and going out to eat at a beautiful restaurant with a beautiful oceanfront view and also having cute dates at home where we both learn to cook something new and fail miserably so we settle for bagel bites & binge watch all his favourite movies only because I love seeing him happy

MY HIGHSCHOOL JOURNAL part #1
Hi. So I'm here today because I'm sick and tired of keeping everything inside of me. Nobody really wants to know me enough. So I'm going to sit quietly on my favorite couch downstairs in our family room a.k.a the BASEMENT, and talk about myself for a few minutes. This is obviously for nobody, because I wouldn't really want to share anything with anyone. And besides, nobody cares; and I totally understand. People have busy and stressful lives. I do as well. Nobody has time to "understand" me as a person. So here I go phone notebook:

Adela Strangeworth | The Possibility Of Evil Short Story
A concept that deserves more context is how “looks are deceiving” or how you should “never judge a book by its cover.” It is not rare to encounter individuals with two-faced personalities who make themselves seem different then what they truly are from the inside. Shirley Jackson, the author of the short story ‘The Possibility of Evil,’ brings a more detailed perspective emphasizing how there is a possibility of evil in everyone – even if they look or seem innocent and charming. Shirley Jackson accentuates this through the main character of the story, Miss Adela Strangeworth. Some character traits Miss Strangeworth had that placed prominence on her duplicitous personality were self-consciousness, carefulness, and her sanctimony. Miss Strangeworth was always very self-conscious about herself and the letters she wrote to others. “She was fond of doing things exactly right. When she made a mistake, as sometimes she did, she took the page to the kitchen stove and burned it at once.” (Jackson 225-226) With this reference is it easy to realize that Miss Strangeworth loathed her failures and was wrapped in self-denial. Hence when she made a mistake, she would get rid of the evidence as immediately as she could. Since she had to mail the letters to different citizens, she needed for them to not include any sort of faults. Along with being self-conscious about her existence, Miss Strangeworth was also very careful. “she had always made a point of mailing her letters very secretly. Consequently, she timed her walk so she could reach the post office just as darkness was starting to dim the outlines of the trees and the shapes of peoples’ faces.” (227) Since Miss Strangeworth had always made sure that she mailed her letters very secretly, she would time her walk so she could reach the post office just when darkness started to arise, and people started to vanish inside their homes. This really accurately illustrates how Miss Strangeworth was very careful. As obviously clarified, Miss Strangeworth tried to avoid being recognized by arriving at the post office when it was nighttime. Since the word ‘secretly’ was being used, it is clear to the reader that Miss Strangeworth was very careful with keeping her faulty letters a secret.

The Lord of The Flies | literally every 10th grade novel study ever.
Civilization portrays the uttermost established form of mankind existing in this rigid society; without it, mankind reverts to the more primitive and uncivilized part of their nature. This concept of human nature was emphasized greatly in William Golding’s novel, “The Lord of The Flies.” This novel highlights the different events a group of boys experience while stranded on an island. They develop rules and systems of organization, but without any civilized adults to guide them, the boys eventually become violent, and start to portray uncivilization . Golding draws prominence to this concept by using literary tools such as the symbolism of the conch shell and how it relates to one of the first acts of civilization, a detailed characterization to explain Jack’s need for civilization, and the use of masks or painted faces as another form of symbolism and how they relate to the need for civilization.

My 10th grade careers essay lol
I have been honored with the opportunity of finding my ideal career with the basis of learning from this course. I have learned many new things about myself, such as the type of learning style that best suits me, what character traits I have within myself, what careers would be ideal for those specific character traits that I have within myself, and the different types of interpersonal skills that I carry. Using this new information that I have learned about myself, and my own personal passions, I have come to a conclusion that I would be very interested in going into medicine and/or healthcare. I considered many other options such as law or biotechnology, however I do not see myself suitable to these careers/university majors. I really want a career in which I can lead as I predominately like to do things my own way, this is something I learned this year during this careers course. I also enjoy learning about the human anatomy as there is so much to learn about, and visually learning is one of my strong suits as well. I have also come to realize that I have some great interpersonal skills such as good writing and critical thinking skills. There are all skills that are required in the medical field.

Is Owning a House better, or Renting a House?
Why is owning a home better than renting a home? Research shows that owning your own home has distinct advantages over renting, especially when it comes to building your net worth and providing a stable environment for you and your family. Owning a house has better benefits than renting a house. Owning a house means that you can feel more secure and private, you can add or remodel your house without permission, and you can build easy money.

What I Learned in English Class
Prior to this English lesson, I never used reading strategies to enhance my ability to read. I never thought much about them, and so I never had the motivation to do so either. Before I started using reading strategies, I did not engage very actively in reading, and while I was using the reading strategies, I was definitely more engaged in my reading then I would’ve been in before using them. After using the strategies, I more confident in my ability to read, and will continue to use them if needed for more active engagement. These strategies would also enhance my comprehension because I would be more interested in the reading material, hence increasing my level of comprehension.

Social Issues from The Newsies | Class & Power
The Newsies strike of 1899 was able to bring many social inequities to a point of discussion. There were three main issues that the Newsies strike of 1899 were able to pinpoint: child labor, class and power, and the power of the press. I have always been passionate to learn about class and power, so I will be summarizing that topic for this article
