If any human being aspires to become anything more than mediocre, a set of mysterious and unforeseen obstacles will erect its fiery walls in unity against them. These barriers will often detour and discourage dreamers from manifesting their deepest desires in the physical form. These barriers may disguise themselves in the costume of a beloved family member's critique of "You can’t do that" or a friend’s genuine concern of "That’s just not possible." It is not that those you love do not love you or believe in you, it is simply that most people have a tendency to project their own fears, inadequacies, and limiting beliefs on one another without conscious awareness. There will be times in which you feel that even the universe is conspiring against you. Never feel that way because by law the universe, mathematically exact, literally can only give to you the equivalent of what you put out vibrationally. Whatever form the obstacles may appear in, just know they are defenseless in the presence of burning desire and dogged determination.

If radical dreamers, intuitive visionaries, and faithful believers are to bring their dreams to fruition, then they must rise to the challenge of being an obstacle slayer. They must fearlessly accept the conquest of battling for a dream that will transform them and permeate their lives. In order to transmute dreams into reality, the desire to obtain must be significantly greater than the fear of change. As Franklin D. Roosevelt intelligently stated in his first inaugural address in 1933, “the only thing we have to fear is fear itself.” FDR unveiled a new and conscious reality through the words he spoke that should inspire each of us to adopt it as truth in our own lives. For truly, there is nothing to fear but fear itself. I believe fear is the real enemy. I believe fear strips, neutralizes and debilitates our God-given abilities to soar. Fear ravishes our infinite potential to live a life of happiness, goodness of health with immeasurable material wealth. Fear snatches dreams from the death-grip of the dreamer’s hands and casts it into a prison darker than 10,000 midnight skies. The majority of the things that are worried about never happen! Here is the irony, fear oftentimes is not based in objective realities, but subjective potentialities that invade and entangle the mind.

The brain is a powerful machine. Even in this new millennium of technological innovation, the brain makes the world’s supercomputer look like a toy. The mind is divine and has the ability to transcend the immediate local world and enter into a consciousness of universal oneness. In Think and Grow Rich, Napoleon Hill stated “powerful and mighty the human mind! It builds or destroys.” The power of the mind is found in the subconscious mind by majority and in the conscious mind by minority. The conscious mind is powerful to the extent that it can influence the subconscious mind. The subconscious mind, programmed from birth, holds the majority of the power and it dictates every aspect of human life from the ability to earn a certain amount of money, the ability to lose weight to the ability to form relationships, etc. According to cognitive neuroscientists, humans are cognitively conscious only about five percent of the time, the remaining 95 percent of activity occur on a subconscious level. Carl Jung stated “until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate.” This same thing applies to each and every one of us. The mind must be nurtured and disciplined OR like a cunning AI, it will override the creator and bring with its treasonous unruliness and shallowness of purpose.

The truth is, the obstacles encountered on the silent and sometimes isolating journey to greatness are momentous and trash-talking. They even have the audacity to suggest ultimatums such as retreat from your newly embarked journey that leads to the destination of greatness, self-actualization, and bliss, back en route to a life that is subpar, frail, and lifeless; live a life that is characterized by fear and mediocrity OR suffer defeat!

For the many that choose to march on in the face of adversity and sail on in the midst of treacherous seas, only they should taste victory. The blood, the sweat, and tears of those aspiring to be great will never be in vain.

Those who push toward their dreams begin to learn very quickly how to see with vision, lead with the spirit of authenticity, and decide with definiteness of purpose. Conquerors on a conquest for MORE out of life must see what others cannot, feel what others do not, and do what others will not!

On this journey, you will find the most value in developing yourself. You can only be your best self and perform at your highest when you fill yourself up with positivity and consuming inspiration. Through the painstakingly rewarding and ever-continuous process of self-development, you will unexpectedly stumble on something powerful. On my journey, I came to the realization that I am a powerful creator. I am powerful beyond measure and conscious comprehension, and so are you! You too are as powerful as the radiating blast from a supernova!

This journey to achieving dreams reveal something most never realized to be true. This journey reveals strengths, potential, and by faith, what mountains can be moved and cast into the sea. An internal transformation takes place on this journey and it is necessary if meaningful goals are to be accomplished. It is necessary that you grow into your dreams.

As you trod toward your goals and aspirations something will happen to you in such a way that prevents you from returning to normalcy. This transformation brings with it an energy that creates, recreates, and shapes material matter around you. Thoughts, which have been scientifically proven to travel faster than the speed of light, can be the light on those dark nights. Sometimes you will walk in utter darkness, but yet you must progress. Chances are some of the pathways will be dark. The repeated thoughts you think will create transformation or it will create destruction. Remember, life does not happen to you, but is created through you by the thoughts, feelings, beliefs, and behaviors you rehearse. You must create thoughts that strategically bring you closer to your desired outcome. You must create consciously. To do this you must take ownership of your mind and your life.

Remember, thoughts are the conduit, the brain the conductor, and the materially manifested reality is the outcome.

Thich Nhat Hanh said it best. He said, “enlightenment is when the wave realizes it is the ocean.” Hanh’s words are a powerful revelation that has unveiled something valuable to anyone who will listen. Likewise I say, enlightenment is when a person realizes that their dreams are not a distant, external phenomena, but rather an awareness that is created internally. We don’t go get our dreams, we become them. Enlightenment is when a person realizes that they live in a world they created and they simultaneously create their world in which they live. Enlightenment is when a human realizes that he or she is the universe.

The late Astrophysicist, Carl Sagan said, “the nitrogen in our DNA, the calcium in our teeth, the iron in our blood, the carbon in our apple pies were made in the interiors of collapsing stars. We are made of star stuff.”

We are the universe!

Do not let what is perceived by the physical senses becloud your intuitive judgment. Do not let that get in the way of what you, I, and everyone instinctively know… not only are you an infinite soul residing in a body… not only do have the propensity to live out your dreams to the fullest…. but, you are also an infinite piece of our infinite universe.
