You Are the Most Important Aspect of Your Life!

You choose your path, no one else does.

They say that you must help others in order to become a better person. Well, I personally think that is as far from the truth as you could possibly get. No one knows your mind, body, or spirit like you do. Do not let someone else fool you into believing that you are not the most important aspect of your life. Don’t get me wrong, I am not saying that you should ignore loved ones, or let someone die in front of you if you have the means to save them. What I am saying is that life still goes on around you whether or not you act “selfish” or “selfless.”

Has anyone ever wanted to understand what goes through my mind and how I view the world? Well, I will tell you this if you want to come for a journey with me. I am always willing to voice my opinions on multiple subject matters so I figured I will spill everything out in this post. I may offend some people while doing this, but I don’t really care. This post is about me, for me, to express my views to you. If you didn't want to hear what I had to say, then you shouldn't have opened this post to begin with.

Many of you may not know me, but for those that do, they know that I care about myself. Some call me conceited—I used to be seen as the cocky kid who was rude and wanted everything for himself. They say this is because I grew up as an only child and never had to share anything with a sibling. Again, this is as far from the truth as you can possibly get. I have just always had my mind set on goals that I wanted to achieve. Nothing has been able to stand in my way, and if it has tried, I have just reevaluated my initial plan and made a new one.

I am my own being and I focus my goals around me. No one else is involved in my plans, but that does not mean I won’t take you along for the ride. You need to earn your spot in my plans, you are not simply placed there. Once you are there, it does not necessarily mean you will always be there. I have had friends come and go. I have had girlfriends come and go. That is what life is about. You meet new people, share experiences with them, learn from those experiences, and then potentially move on. If you are not learning from every single experience you have, then you are doing something wrong.

Every time I meet someone new, I see a potential chance for a networking opportunity; you should too! You never know where this person is from, what their goals are, or what they believe in. Connections based on goal-oriented and belief similarities are ones that are few and far between. These are those connections that earn spots in my plans and should earn spots in your plans. We have all witnessed this happen. When that connection just “clicks” and you know something great is bound to happen.

But then suddenly it disappears. You wonder why that happened. You start to get upset, and maybe go down a road you didn't want to visit. Maybe you start slacking off on your goals because you feel bad or sad. Maybe you try too hard to please everyone around you because you feel like you didn't please this person enough. This, right here, is your problem. Remember what I said? Focus on yourself. If you can push everything aside and remember that you are the most important person in your life, you will be able to move on and learn from your experience to create a better one in the future.

Have you ever had a goal that just seemed impossible to reach? If that’s the case, you need to formulate a plan of attack. Ones that go into situations with a timid attitude will get nowhere. This applies in all aspects of life. It applies in your job search, in your job, in your relationships, in athletics, and most importantly in your mind. If you don’t have a goal in mind, get one! Once you have that goal in mind, attack it. Don’t be afraid to mess up, we all mess up. Winners are just losers who never quit—remember that.

Of course there are a select few that are just so naturally gifted that they don’t have to try with anything and they can still coast by with ease. What fun is that though? Without a challenge, no memories are made. If no memories are made, there is no reason to live, at least not in my opinion. Remember, you are your own person and no one else should tell you how to live, so don’t let me tell you how to live either. I am just giving you my thoughts and ideas in the form of this post to help you understand what I think of on a daily basis.

Why would you want to live a complacent life? Is that really something to strive for? I’m not saying you need to go out there and be so boastful that you come off as an arrogant asshole, but put a little pep in your life. Is it really fun living the same cyclical life day in and day out? How do you not get bored with yourself? This disgusts me. I am talking about the people who have everything “scheduled” so intrinsically that if something out of the ordinary happens, like let’s say a flat tire, they have no idea how to react. Everything seems to get blown out of proportion in their eyes. You know, the person who wakes up at 5 AM every day, and then stares at the kitchen wall for 15 minutes while their coffee brews, and then drinks two cups of coffee, followed by their morning bathroom ritual. Once they leave the house, they have to stop at the convenience store down the road to get their $2 scratch ticket. On the way to work, they listen to the same radio station while always complaining they get stuck behind the school bus every day. Well guess what? That is no one else’s fault besides your own! I could keep going with their boring day, but I think you understand where I am going with this.

Do something exciting and out of the ordinary. Make your life worth living, because, as you know, no one else should be the reason your life is worth living. I’m not saying you need to go paragliding off the edge of Mount Olympus. What I am trying to say is, spice up your life a little bit. Learn something new. Read a book or learn how to sketch. I can bet that you aren't busy every single moment of every single day, and if you are, you need to fix that before you kill yourself. Don’t go to the gym at the same time every day. Maybe you’ll come across some new faces and a friendly smile if you change up your routine. I bet if you didn't stare at the wall for 15 minutes when you woke up, you would have missed that bus this morning.

You are in charge of you. No one else can take that away from you. If someone is trying do so, break the spell and get out as soon as you can. Mind control is something that happens when it shouldn't happen. If you allow someone to get under your skin and give an inch, well guess what? They will take that yard. It’s animal behavior. I know we are civilized and all these other bullshit labels they want to put on us, but the fact of the matter is, we are all animals. It is the animal inside of you that needs to come out, your primal self, to take control and live the life you truly want to.

Who would win in a fight out in the wild? A timid animal or one that attacks to kill? I would have to put my money on the animal that applies its intellect and physicality over the one that steps back and tries to run or hide. The same thing sort of happens in our society. Have you noticed that the ones at the top, with all the wealth, are the ones that have no problem slicing and dicing the competition? They didn't get there because they cared what Joe down the street thought of them. He was putting himself first to get where he is at.

And let me guess, I’m sexist because I said “he” is at the top, right? Think what you want, but just remember this post is about me and about what I think. I am allowed to say what I want in this post because YOU didn't have to read it if you didn't want to hear what I had to say. Anyway, back to what really matters. So the ones that are running society are the same type of people that are able to put most of the masses under some sort of mind control. This happens in the sense that they almost force you into that cyclical lifestyle I warned you about earlier. Have you really ever stepped back and thought about how the “American Dream” is working right now? Well, let me tell you quickly about how fucked up it is.

Never take the easy way out. The easy way out is living on credit. All credit does is take money from the lower and middle class and give it to the upper class people. It is sometimes hard to pass up an opportunity for immediate satisfaction, especially if you’re in a pinch financially. Just remember though, you are going to have to pay back probably two times the amount of money you borrowed after it is all said and done. Guess what? To make sure you meet these obscene payment amounts, you’re going to have to make a schedule or a budget and follow something to the T. If any little thing happens that shouldn't happen, your whole life is going to be thrown off kilter. This is exactly how the elite members of society can control the masses and pick off their prey little by little. They force you into a cyclical lifestyle where you remain complacent instead of going after what you truly believe in. They take away your dreams and your creativity because you are too focused on monetary value. You are worth more than your assigned monetary value. Remember, your monetary value will never change unless your ideas and your desire change. You have to take control of your own life and turn it into something you want to be living. Never become complacent. Complacency is for prey.
