Everyone wants to be successful in different aspects of their life. Over the years of me becoming a better human and adapting my mind to learn effectively to progress my course in life, I feel I have learnt some knowledgeable information to increase YOUR success.
In this article I will be listing five` changes you can make in your life to be the better you! Some will work better than others depending on what you are aiming for and how you adapt.
1. DISCIPLINE YOURSELF
First thing to become a better you is to be tough with yourself. No I’m not saying you should bully yourself into a depressive state.
YOU need to be tough! If you don’t complete a target to your own deadline, be disappointed and work twice as hard the next day. Finish it completely when you start it. Don’t let your mentality slip. Keep pushing yourself and every time you fail or don’t achieve a target, be hard on yourself.
Don’t force yourself into a work-induced coma. Simply be strict with yourself to push you in the right direction.
2. HAVE FUN
A question I get asked a lot is if I enjoy what I do. My response every time is ‘if I didn’t I wouldn’t be doing it?’
Sometimes this can be difficult because some goals take a lot to reach. You may have to graft and put in extra shifts to build up your finances to achieve it. You may have to find the perfect match to make it work. Whatever the case is, sometimes it’s just not that easy to enjoy the early stages.
But you must do what it takes to achieve your goals.
Life is a game of chess. No one wants to be a pawn.
Planning will be different for everyone depending on what your goals are. The best advice I could give is to set a quarterly plan. It’s easy to maintain and stick to. Don’t overreach. You won’t make the next Facebook in a year. These things take time. You’re planning for your future not tomorrow.
Your plan should be basic, but detailed enough to give yourself a head start.
Just remember you don’t have to plan everything out. Things are going to change, you don’t know what’s around the corner, so keep things simple, and that way you can adapt to changes.
4. AVOID BURNING OUT
Many people trying to reach their goals burnout quickly, because they’re trying to climb the stairs as fast as they can. To avoid burnout you need to stick to your plan, and discipline yourself enough. Never over-discipline! That’s when things start getting bad.
Burnout consists of overthinking, lack of sleep, not drinking enough fluids, not leaving the house/building, not eating. Burnouts are basically anything you need to survive and be healthy being left out to focus on your success.
You can’t enjoy success if you’re dead!
5. LEARN & ADAPT
To be successful you must be able to learn effectively and adapt to different aspects of your journey. You do not need to have an IQ of 180 to be able to do this. Simply learn as much as you can, because the more you know, the easier it will be to get things done.
Being able to adapt will be a difficult part of your path, but it is a necessity to adapt. Without it, your mentality will not increase, and your efficiency will slow down significantly.
Be the best you can.
