Believe it or not, having and maintaining a wonderful sense of humour is a major factor in succeeding throughout all aspects of life. Successful individuals discover humour in everything and use it smartly as well as effortlessly. Applying the "Four C's," can you help you encounter more successful results in all aspects of your life, both individual and professional.
- Connecting with Others: Humour proves to be an outstanding communication strategy. Regardless if you are already acquainted or have just met; humour enables us to connect with others on an emotional level and brings us all a little closer together. The fact of the matter is, everyone needs a mental break from time to time, in order to forget about their struggles, stresses, etc; even if it's just for a moment. Who needs this? Kids, teens, young adults, adults, seniors, nurses, your parents, grandparents, retail workers... Everyone. Why? Because we're all human, and we all have feelings. We all need to laugh.
- Celebrate Your Own Imperfections: When humour is self-directed, in a harmless and loving way, it empowers us to celebrate our own flaws and imperfections. Self-directed humour is one of the most powerful assets used to help self-esteem. it says, 'I am authentic. I am genuine. I am human and even with my imperfections, I am deserving of love and acceptance.' Stop believing the media, imperfection is absolutely worthy of celebration.
- Care for the Mind and Body: We've all heard the saying, 'Laughter is the Best Medicine,' and it's more than true. Numerous clinical research has found that humour positively affects well-being and helps us cope. Laughing triggers physiological changes inside our bodies. It can help shield you from the destructive impacts of stress. Discover humour in everything, because it's wonderful for both your physical and psychological wellness.
- Conduct Business as Usual: Let's be honest. The bills need paid, the house needs cleaned, personal and professional goals and opportunities need to be pursued. In addition to our day-to-day activities, there's sure to be difficulties than need confronted. Sometimes we may experience situations that feel less beneficial or inconvenient. Conducting business as usual will sometimes incorporate these realities. However, life must go on. So we discover humour to keep on keeping on.
