I often think that life can be crappy and hectic with a lot of stress and sadness. We have all been there, where we feel like we are in a huge hole and are stuck for life. That cannot be true; and I won't believe it.

I've always thought there has to be more in life, more than just wishing and hoping something comes up if we are lucky. "Life's 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it."-Charles R. Swindoll

I'm not religious but I believe there is a higher power and things happen for a reason to certain people. Some of us are lucky, and amazing wonderful things just appear out of nowhere then, on the other hand, some of us are not so lucky and it seems like one bad thing after another happens to us and we can't catch a break. I used to think that I was cursed and all this bad and negative stuff that I had to face was just how my life was made. I was wrong. I wanted to know why all this negativity happened, why I felt all this hate and anger and how the hell to fix this. So I started researching, experimenting and learning about things I had no idea existed and couldn't happen to me.

The thing was, before any of this good could come into my life I had to review the bad and negative energy that was coming in. We don't think about the little things that can make our lives seem so out of place until you go back and say, "Ok, so I lost my keys this morning, the dog ran away so I was late for work trying to find him, and my nanny couldn't come in so I had to find someone else to watch my kids." At the moment all of these negative events seem more and more irritating because it's a chain reaction of one negative thing after another, then the rest of your day goes downhill! Your mind is already thinking a bunch of other things will go wrong the rest of the day, and that's just how it has to go. Or does it?

I will tell you right now, it does not have to ruin your day. It's how you react to the negative energy that will determine how the rest of your day goes. You have a few choices. One you could be mad and say, "Why is this happening to me? I cant deal with this. I never have good luck and my whole day is ruined now and I cant fix anything!" That is the negative talking and you want to stay away from it. Or you could say, "Ok, this unfortunate event happened and it messed up my plans but it hasn't ruined my day and I'm not letting it!" Your mind is a powerful organ. What you believe to be true is what will be true. It's when we step back from the situation and analyze it that we notice the small problems that build up are not as important as the really big life changing problems like a death, a loss of a job, a breakup, or a mental illness. Just think whatever you are going through, someone somewhere is going through worse so be humble with what you have and always look on the bright side.

Some of us have always been an outgoing, open-minded, optimist so it can be easier to see the world in a positive light and that things will work out eventually. Then there was me a few years ago and I thought my life was cursed because I had all this bad stuff happen and I didn't feel I had control of anything. I would get angry at the smallest things and it would only get worse from there. I hated feeling like anything could set me off so I looked for help. I talked to therapists, friends, family and reached out to anyone really so I could try to get help. Only after I let my feelings go and made it a priority to be happy, that I kicked my mindset into gear and let the good energy come into my life. Just like that, I made an important life decision to put myself first to have a happy and better life for the future and people around me.

Only you can make that choice to say I've had enough of being miserable and unhappy, and think about how you will change your reaction to what life throws at you and make lemonade or whatever amazing drink you want! Open up your eyes and mind to the endless possibilities that you can achieve when you have a new outlook on life and rewrite your perfect life story.
