Happy people do this out of the goodness of their hearts. Surprisingly, most happy people are good people, because happiness is contagious and so is goodness. Negativity does the opposite. You will see that bad people in the world spread negativity and treat others poorly. Don’t follow that pattern. Increase your mental health and your happiness by treating others well always.

It’s important to stay grateful to stay happy, because we can’t always get what we want, and we aren’t always going to have good things happen to us. Part of self care involves taking the time to be alone and really getting to know and loving yourself without the dependence of others. The old homage goes, “You can’t love anyone else fully until you love yourself fully.” This rings true with happiness as well. Take time alone to be happy with yourself. All happy people do this.

Of course, if you want to stay happy, you will want to surround yourself with that same energy. One of the things all happy people do is to surround themselves with other happy people. Happiness is a drug, so when you are around happy people, you can feed off that energy. If you ever start to feel even the slightest bit down, being around good vibes will bring you right back up. Find your tribe of positive people, and you will see how quickly your life changes for the better.

One thing all happy people do is stick to their goals. Happy people are driven, focused, and determined to succeed. When you are happy, you won’t be taken off your path by negativity or other distractions. It’ll be easier than ever for you to push forward toward exactly what you want in life.
