"You can't use up creativity, the more you use the more you have" Maya Angelou

When I was a kid, creativity was "allowed" as I began to grow older. People, well, let's say the people that were around me, friends, family, and associates alike would shun the idea of creativity being a useful skill? Ironically, I watched them admire others creativity, was it me?? Was I just not allowed to express my creativity as if it would never take me there? Wherever "there" was for them I guess.

To make a long story shorter, I have dropped the "being allowed" mentality after so many years of asking for approval. Just like magic poof the creativity is being unleashed a little more day by day by day.

Growth. Where you can only put a lid on someone's creativity for so long before just like the beach ball effect it comes rushing to the top charging forward!

(Pictured Above) DUSE', a Serbian word for "soul" (or in this case "SOLE"), my very first Italian designed shoe. It's more unisex than it is a total female shoe. Hence "Starting Small," the title! If you haven't read my previous, article please do, "Forever Tomboy"! It will explain the direction of this journaled journey. What the goal, that is set out to be accomplished by this blog and journey, is!

There will be a lady sneaker head destination shop. While most women may prefer heels over sneakers, there are more than enough ladies who prefer sneakers over heels. Just like with companies from Amazon to Apple, "great things take time."

I have decided to journal my efforts in a way that only a person in 2019 should, through this very unique platform. I am for sure that when looking back from the future, I will be grateful that I stood for something! What seems obsolete becomes must haves. The best have been turned away with reckless abandon, and still succeeded greatly.

What do you think about the shoe? (Have a look again) the attention to detail, the colors, even down to the box. Not bad? Excellent? So-so? Great, but we know it will get better with time! Either way, I am proud to just be doing something that doesn't mundanely bore me out of shoes, makes me feel alive while giving me a platform to speak about it, earn from it, and celebrate myself in one good swoop.

"Slow progress is still progress" Unknown

This very moment is the beginning of "the journey of 1000 miles" with a single step taken. While the ancestors whisper to me, "keep going." I will continue to give updates as frequently as possible. Creativity doesn't sleep, it keeps you up at night (most nights anyway). There is so much to being a business owner, even when your shop is online. However, I am grateful for having a vocal platform to air out my journey on!

Enjoying every bit of the process something I have had massive problems with in the past! I have totally restructured what I imagined my business to be when I started imagining a little over two years ago! I can now explain, vividly, what I am setting out to accomplish with this vision.

I will make that the next article, an imperfectly perfect painting of a vision of what LYT Factory (my online store) will become in the future. As I use my creativity, even to write this article, I can feel the creative juices pumping, ready to be organized, produced, and shown to the world.

For those who accept it and receive what I have to offer, and for those who don't who can move right along!

Until the next time, keep reading! Just like the many stories I have read that inspired me to keep going, peer to peer inspiration is the wave of the future. We are all here on our own separate journeys that mainly require for us to "trust the path," but it always helps knowing we are not alone, and our journeys have similarities with others!
