Spring and Wayward

Rising Every Time We Fall

Sometimes you want to tell people stories and they don't want to hear you. The you just needs to continue making noise, because there could be someone you can touch with a story or two.

It took me a long time to come to a place where I am now—wanting to write and create, share and promote. The inspiration for that partially comes from my conversations with friends. Among those who inspire me are streamers on Twitch, vloggers on YouTube, and the Wayward movement.

So if you are currently struggling with writer's block or your creativity seems like it will sizzle out, stay strong because it might just have gone for a nap.

Perhaps, it's time to look at your talents and see what else you can offer to yourself. It ends up in a story about self-care, conversation, and change.

What conversations do we want to have? What do you think is important to talk about this day and age?

Let's talk about it this spring. This little corner of the internet will be talking exactly about that: New things, advice, and conversation that is important.

Spring Cleaning

There are people who are very good with spring cleaning, both physical and emotional. Out with the old and in with the new. When I look at my own possessions, only then I notice how many I actually have. Sometimes it's about simply taking it out and seeing if the object is still relevant. Does it still make you happy? If not, maybe it's worth finding it a new home.

Recycling and up-cycling old shirts into bags and pillowcases or quilts. Keeping the memories we have, but reusing the objects for something new and exciting.

I'm currently working on my Instagram to increase the engagement, as well as kick off a proper Instagram account that is all about exploration and travel, and brand representation in the long run. I realise that for many people that means nothing, but it's a great way to meet new potential collaboration partners and broaden my horizons.

In a way, it's also spring cleaning, since I'm going through old content, editing and revising it to be more interesting and appealing to those who might see it or stumble upon it through the relevant hashtags.

Travelling and Exploration

Quite often, travelling is associated with going to foreign countries, but some of the most beautiful locations are in our own backyard. Working on social media inspired me to try and see new places near where I live in—Norfolk, UK. It's amazing how many little gems are scattered around the County.

This little expedition also encouraged me to look for some geocaches and explore the wonderful collection of churches around Norfolk. I started from the ground zero—Norwich Cathedral—and started working my way around while learning about the history of each church.

When did you last went to look at a place near home? What did you discover during that time?

I want to encourage everyone find something new around the area and enjoy this spring for new activities. Or maybe even bring out some nice old favourites you haven't had the time or feeling to pick up.

It also encouraged me to put effort in social media because some of these little village churches could use a little bit of help with their websites and overall engagement. It's the younger generation they want to reach, and social media is a great way to do it. It also shows to a wider church community that these little places should not be forgotten in the shadow of big city churches.

The next post I write will be all about the churches I discovered in a benefice called Shellrock. It consists of several little villages that work together to create country living, as well as strengthen their communities.
