Spiritual Reflection

Reminding myself to consider my true spiritual nature is a frequent necessity when it’s so easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of a consumeristic society. The challenge is to realize and remember that this life is only temporary. We are alive only because we are animated by spirit and our spirits all have a supernatural ability to perceive entire worlds beyond flesh and bone if we choose. So why do we choose to take all these physical things so seriously while we are incarnated into these strange human bodies?

Often we believe the physical is all that exists which has created a gaping hole in most of our hearts. As a species, we have forgotten our divine purpose along with many facets of the basic yet miraculous fact that we even exist as we do in the first place. Our natural tendency toward taking our life for granted is all too common and occurs frequently and often up until the point where it’s too late. Where are we headed as humankind when our motives are so confused and disconnected from our true nature?

We come in many colors and hues yet we are part of the same full spectrum of light. As light just like light bulb we need power and energy to glow. Our power and energy come from spirit, if there was no spirit source to light up these bodies they would just be glass bulbs with some wire and metal. We are meant to shine bright so why has our power source been unplugged from our conscious awareness to the point where we all appear to be lifeless bulbs?

I have an idea, what if we considered for a moment that the part of life that is intangible is the most important part of life? We don’t have to see it to believe it, we have to believe it in order to see it. And when I say see it I mean not necessarily with the naked eye. We can see things inside our mind's eye and often the things we see in our imagination feel just as real as things we see out there.

Who are we really? Spirits having a human experience here on schoolhouse earth. It’s a small planet we all share and a vast wild wide spirit world exists as a multilayered simultaneous inter-dimensional place ripe with possibilities for us all to explore. All we have to do is walk thru a virtual door. So tell me, what does your spirit want from this lifetime?
