She Knew She Deserved Better

She knew she deserved better.

How dare they treat her like she wasn’t the most beautiful, the most elegant, the most loving, and the most caring girl they had ever met.

She was confident, but in her own way. Never did she ever start a conversation, but she made sure to always get the last word. Although she may have seemed to be shy, as she uttered her words to the world, hints of confidence sparked through them. Oh how she was so confident.

She was kind, but in her own way. As words would roll off her tongue so elegantly, it was almost agony to prevent yourself from falling in love with the beauty of her voice. She spoke so gently, so calmly, as if she was reciting a verse of a spell. Ironically, she was last thing you’d imagine if an image of a malicious witch had been placed in front of you. Hearts would fall to rest as she shed her light onto their lives. Oh how she was so kind.

She was dangerous, but in her own way. Living off of the thrill that she would receive through adventurous activities, she was like a predator, hunting down chances for her to feel the adrenaline pumping through her veins. Oh how she was so dangerous.

She was courageous, but in her own way. She never let fear get in the way of what she wanted. She vowed to herself that she would never let anything get in the way of an opportunity. And you know what they say about fear, it’s a veil of mist that blinds one into thinking they can’t move on further. But she was never blinded by the fear, she never let the fear blind her. She ran straight through it, she knew she couldn’t let anything stand in her way and so she didn’t. She embraced her opportunities and made sure to get the best out of each and everything that came her way. Oh how she was so courageous.

A smile plastered her face as she knew her worth. She knew she was powerful and she knew she could be anyone she wanted.

The world would bow down to her feet if she wanted. She could be the best. She could be everything that any other girl had ever hoped for. But if she didn’t believe it, then there was no real point on embarking on this journey. The whole world may try to break her, they may try to ruin her worth and sabotage her mind into thinking she couldn’t achieve what she so surely could.

She often wondered why people were so negative. The murmurs that left their mouth, as they would push her happiness off of the table and replace it with jealousy, their jealousy.

The once imprisoned, lonely and lost character of this woman had changed rapidly. She became someone much more fierce. She developed her character and critiqued herself to be who she wanted to be. She was no longer someone who disappointed her, someone who she was afraid and embarrassed of. She was no longer the girl that was afraid of her own shadow. She didn’t want to be someone that hated herself. She no longer felt the need to live a life full of regret and worthlessness and so she changed up her life. She decided to make herself proud before anything and she succeeded. She put her mind to it and excelled, she was now a girl full of authority and self-love.

She knew she deserved better, and so she gave herself the absolute best.
