Reinventing Yourself!

...A Little!

A wise human once told me, "A person can die at 30 but be buried at 73," she then waited so what she had said could really sink in. She proceeded to explain that when people become used to routine, days seem to pass you by and yet you continue to wake up, go to the same lousy job working 9 to 5, come home, eat a crappy meal and just sit there while the silence becomes so loud, it eventually makes you have a mental breakdown. She said that people are so unmotivated to make a change, but not for lack of effort. But for FEAR.

So what goes wrong?

You see, fear plays a very important part in taking action. You tend to overthink or come up with different scenarios in your head while the clock keeps ticking. Then the next thing you know you're 33 and stuck in your own way. That's when you begin reminiscing, trying to pinpoint the exact moment where you were overthinking and realize you would have been better off just taking that leap of faith.

How can you prevent that?

Well, for starters, take a good look at your life at this instant! Think about your daily routine. Is it what you wanted for yourself? Are you HAPPY? If not, make adjustments. Remove unnecessary, dead weight which sucks the life out of you, curve the negative and polish the positive! Trust me, spontaneity allows for stimulation of your brains' synapses for moments of curiosity that eventually lead to more smiles in your life. Start small. Brush your teeth with your non-dominant hand or go big with me here. If you feel like spreading joy, take a walk but put an upbeat song via portable speaker as well as a smile on your face.

What is the point?

The point of those small exercises is to relieve some stress that comes with making adjustments. There is no shame in trying, but there is in lying to yourself about being contempt with your life. Now there are people who are happy with how things turned out but you can still benefit from curiosity and spontaneity...

Just live a little...

Why not go on adventures whether by yourself or with with friends? Chase the clouds. Follow the birds. Race across the horizon. Make the most out of this life you have been blessed with. Also, remember that Ali had it right when he said, "Don't count the days, make the days count." Why not go on adventures whether by yourself or with with friends? Chase the clouds. Follow the birds. Race across the horizon. Make the most out of this life you have been blessed with.
