Finding Yourself

Exploring Myself with Art

Have you ever felt like you can't seem to figure out just who you are or meant to be? Are you tired of everyone else telling you who to be instead of helping you discover your own self for certainty? Well I'll tell you this right now. List what you know about yourself. If you're wondering why, you're about to find out.

Acceptance in Ourselves

We have a tendency to get distracted by who we would like to be like, and while it's not wrong to be inspired, we can't let it confuse us. Let's say you're obsessed with something amazing, but you have no clue about the most important thing about it. Let's say you have a one-track mind, and before you know it you're stressed and forcing yourself to be someone you're not for the sake of something you only knew the more simple side of. If you love something, it doesn't always mean it is meant to be our main thing in life, and we have to accept ourselves. Working hard doesn't mean to never discover your real self by saying trying new things is giving up. It can also mean to do your best at finding your true self. Unhappiness can often come from failure to realize we are limiting ourselves by not being open minded enough to try something new when something we worked so extremely infuriatingly hard for doesn't work out. If "Betty Sally" hates literature, writing, and gets stressed enough to tear her hair out even though she loves novels, then Betty is misunderstanding that being open isn't the same as giving up. Why freak out, when you can look deep within yourself and acknowledge who you are and move on? You could find yourself more unhappy with the stress to an extent that what you love could become what you hate. Betty can still like novels without forcing herself into a career involving everything she hates except the result. Accept your weak points after boosting them the best you can, and use them as your guide to happiness!

Get Involved

Everyone should be doing something! Draw! Paint! Write! Do music! Gain some skills! The little things you try in life can turn into something much larger! If I didn't grow up around people who like to draw and do music, I'd have never found two starting places that I could turn to in exploring and looking deeper into myself. Life has many connections. One thing leads to another, and you may wake up one day wondering, how in the heck did you end up as a famous "add the career"?

Appreciation

Are you rolling around in bed wishing you were elsewhere, or just at home envying some of the people on TV (it's good if you aren't)? Have you ever took the time to notice the good things instead of the bad? Even if some exceptional bad things are in your life, there's positivity that even it can be overcome. So many ways to get help exists for those severe things, by the way. Be glad that the air permeates in your lungs, that even if you have problems, you can become powerful if you survive it. Billions of people exist, and you are bound to meet so many people who can possibly become positive energy for you, and you may do the same for them one day. How do you get this level of appreciation, you may ask? You claim it! If the wind knocks you down, at least you can get up. If you go deaf, at least you can see. If you go dumb, at least you can hear and see enough to understand. One thing gets taken, and the other thing gets stronger. Lose a love, find a love that can complete you after the other. The more you find appreciation and the more you use your resources for more help in extreme situations, the closer to obtaining happiness.

Conclusion

Accept yourself, you're no failure for making a decision after doing all you can in something you discover is not for you. Explore yourself through many activities that just may lead to destiny. Find appreciation in every step of the way, and you'll gradually turn into the most mature and best "you" that you can exponentially become. If you need serious help, remember that you don't have to be alone, for many people exist on this planet, and someone "will" be willing to help you change your life! I love you readers and none-readers!
