Achieve Anything You Want

You ever had any great things you wanted to do? You start by planning everything in your head and think how great they will be for you. Sometimes you may even write them down, but when it comes to doing them, suddenly your mind tells you they're not important anymore, so you never do them.

I know I had plenty of those moments when I felt so disappointed in myself later for not doing what I said I was going to do. It even gets depressing sometimes. I've been there plenty of times. Sometimes, I would start, but get halfway and for some reason, stop. I never knew why until I started doing everything I planned to do daily.

I started small, and set little goals for myself everyday. They are as simple as, " Make Bed," " Drink more water," or " Take the trash out." I noticed that I got in the routine of following my list and I got to the point where I would read a task and do it instantly. That is it. Do everything you want by... are you ready?... DOING IT.

I remember November of last year, I wanted to wake up at 5 AM during the week. Everyday, my alarm went off, and I turnt it off to go back to sleep. Everyday the same thing happened. When I think about my mindset now and then, I notice a big difference. The crazy thing is that I just wanted to wake up to write in bed, but now I DO wake up at 5 AM Monday to Friday and I work out.

How do I do it? The answer is I simply do it. There is no thinking about "Should I wake up early today or go back to sleep?" or, "I can wake up early tomorrow." No, No, NO, NO, NO. Tomorrow will be tomorrow and tomorrow, and so on. There is no secret formula to doing things in life; you just have to do it. I have given myself every excuse in the book before, and I am tired of excuses. You should be, too. Excuses will keep you in the rut that you are in forever.

If you don't know where to start or what to do, I can help you. You don't have to start big. I wake up at 5 AM because I have to leave for school at 7: 30 AM. You can wake up later if you don't have to leave that early. As for your goals, you don't need to have world-changing aspirations. They could be as simple as waking up earlier, or working on a project, or studying in the morning. Whatever it is, you just have to do it. There is no drug or equation someone can give you. ONLY YOU CAN HELP YOURSELF. Nobody can lose weight for you, or work for you. That is impossible and, in my opinion, amazing because only you know what you truly want.

One more thing: set little goals and big goals for yourself. What I mean is have monthly, yearly, weekly, and daily goals. All are important and if there is something really big you want to do, you have to start small, which is day by day. Every day, do something toward that goal, and get a weekly check to see what you've accomplished and what you have to do in the days to come. You can accomplish anything doing this.

Therefore, the next time you want to do something, plan it out, and DO it. Just start. Don't think, start. Everyday do this, and it will become a habit.
