Life's Battle

Breathe

In today's society, we are faced with so many choices, decisions, that are in place because of social appearance and media. You have to be thin, but not too thin. You have to be physically fit, but not to bulky. You have to spend wisely but don't over indulge. You have to be presentable, but not over dressed...

Society as a whole needs to realize that we only have one life. We only live once and if you are constantly struggling to ensure you are making the right choices are you truly living? Are you enjoying every moment?

Individuals are faced with so many factors now a days that cause stress and anxiety which can lead to depression. Our forefathers had it worse during the great wars. Think about that. Truly grasp the concept of what they went through. We wake up and worry about the biggest stress factor known to human kind and that's money, while the older generation woke up during the times of war and had to concern themselves with, "Am I going to live to see another day?"

Yes, life is hard, and our choices will have impacts that may be beneficial or cause our situations to be worse, but know that you are in control of your own life! There are things that you can't control and that's o.k. You can't live by the clock, or you will miss the greatest things in life. You can't live by social standards or you will waste away.

Take the few extra minutes every day and breathe. Go for a walk and take your time to soak up everything around you. Be happy and remember to live your life every day as if it was your last. Life is too short to be concerned with every aspect that you will see on TV or social media. If you want to mourn for the world, start to mourn for the real things. Tragedies happen at every instance that we can't control which is terrible, but while you're busy worrying about the world, do you realize that you just missed something beautiful happening in front of you? Like your child's laughter, or the family and friends that are around you supporting you and bringing you joy?

Blessings can be found at every turn and around every corner. Don't let life take you for granted, instead grant yourself the life you deserve!

"You can't get blood from a stone." Remember this when you are worrying about your finances. There's only so much you can do in life. It's important to know your finances and smart planning, but if you are in over your head, just remember to breathe because you can only do what you are capable of handling.

Little tip for all who worry about money. Keep track of your credit score. If you are good, apply for a line of credit with your bank instead of credit cards. Lines of credit have much lower interest rates than any credit card and its at your disposal any time. If you have credit cards, you can transfer the funds to your bank account and pay off your credit cards in one lump sum. Then you would only be paying back the line of credit with the much lower interest rate. This will boost your credit greatly as well as you'll be able to afford the minimum payments although you should always pay more back than the minimum to avoid high rates as well.

Pass your knowledge on to your children! They are our future. Teach them to respect and enjoy life! Show them how you would want people to treat you. Show them happiness and joy. Take them outside and away from "screens." In your youth, did you have cell phones? Did you have tablets? No, you found adventure in everyday which ever way it came at you with your friends. Revert to your childhood and remember the joy that brought you. Be the kid inside you for a day and live. Don't work for your life let life work for you and make each moment count.
