Productivity and happiness are both correlated. When you lack productivity, you become less happy. When you can't see yourself making progress or doing work that you were supposed to do, you muster up all that stress and it results in unhappiness. Either it's a big thing as a deadline or little things like interruptions from your co-workers or social media; it decreases your level of productivity which, in turn, decreases your level of happiness. Waking up late can cause you to feel fatigued and tired. It will decrease your productivity level way more than you expect it to. It’s better to blur the lines between the actual thing you’re doing and what you’re passionate about. It will help you remain motivated.

Try to Keep Distractions Away

Interruptions are among the most significant barriers to both productivity and happiness. Every time you're interrupted in the middle of a task, your level of productivity takes a hit. To avoid interruptions, tell people that you have work to do. Be straightforward that any kind of interruption will disturb you. Also, any notification that can fade in or out of your screen or anything irrelevant on your cellphone should be ignored while you're working. Phones can be a drawback while trying to work, and such interruptions will always lead to low productivity level.

Track Your Progress

Last but not least, as much as results scare us all, it’s a good thing to know our progress once along with every task. It will let us know where we're standing and how far we have managed to come. You can figure out your weakness and your strengths, and you can always do better the next day.
