Don't Let Fear Rule Your Life

This is a little excerpt for you lovelies to relate to.

Honestly I'm not trying to dig deep here but someone out there has to know what I’m talking about and can give their two cents on the matter. However, even though I’m not digging that deep, I want you all to really think about your life and what situations you have been through when you read this. Try to really reflect and count back on certain moments that you can relate back to this article.

Today, we’re talking about fears. Fears are so dumb. Most of them don't even matter. They just hold you back. It’s basically just a bunch of really rude people. Literally, if one fear was a person, they'd be the biggest jerk on the planet. It's like a bully for your brain, your own personal bully! Lord knows we don’t need little jerks inside of our heads when we’ve got enough problems.

It's like when you drive and you wanna go 50 in a 40 because why not? Life ain't going to stop for ya so you need to get going, right? But then that slow driver comes along going 25 instead and you're just like...Bruh. Come on now. I'm just trying to live and you're screwing me up here.

The worst part is that the type of fear that really gets to us is always something we’ve developed from an insecurity or a mindset. These fears are just conjured up in our minds and we don’t even know where it came from! It doesn't have to be a phobia like spiders or dogs, but something that makes you want to puke. A fear or insecurity in your mind that just nibbles at you and when the time comes for it to show it's ugly face, all you want to do in that moment is just die. Basically you are the Titanic and the ocean is anxiety. That’s how it feels.

For example, someone wants to be in a relationship right? But to that person, anyone (and everyone) can be freaking terrifying. They could get hurt or worse, get heart broken. It may not even be people but maybe they are afraid of feelings. Being able to be so vulnerable around someone that they might consider themselves weak. That’s a pretty hard mentality to deal with. If you read this paragraph and said to yourself, “Yup that’s me,” well here’s some news:

In any type of relationship, there are feelings. With any type of feelings; romantic, platonic; SOMEONE is going to get hurt. Most of the time, it's never intentional to hurt someone or to get hurt. Remember that you’re not the only one who might bring baggage to the table. That person could just be as terrified as you are. Someone has to make the first move! So I nominate you, reader, to fly your flag and allow that vulnerability to take over.

In life, sometimes that's how the cards have to be played. Don’t be afraid to reach out for that person. Take a chance! Life is so short and that person could make you the great sandwiches for the rest of your life, but not if you let them get away.

For anyone who reads this, (I don't know who the hell is going to but this little paragraph is for YOU, you beautiful person) I encourage you to go out and try to conquer any fear that you got going in that brain. Don't let it control your life. It’ll be tough at first but sometimes we got to grow tough skins. You can do it. Always remember there’s at least someone out there rooting for you.

Good luck, my lovelies.
