Random Acts of Kindness
I am a Survivor of the Las Vegas shooting on October 1, 2017. From that horrific event came a lot of different emotions, feelings, and experiences. Disbelief, anger, shock, denial, heartbreak, you name it. Everyone has been all over the map since that night. But from all the trauma and horror of that night, also came a glimmer of hope. A reassurance that, there is still good in the world. Lots of it as it turns out.

The G.O.A.T.
This was written a week before Tom Brady and the New England Patriots won the Super Bowl...AGAIN! Let me start by saying I hate Tom Brady and I hate the New England Patriots. Ok, hate is a strong word. I have a hatred for Tom Brady and the Patriots. Why? Because all they do is win! When Brady was suspended four games, my first thought was, “Yes, that should be four losses and now some other teams may have a chance.” Fat chance...the Patriots won three of the four games without Brady.

Eleven Minutes
11 minutes! Doesn’t sound like a long time does it? That’s only long enough for three songs on the radio. But on the night of October 1, 2017, 11 minutes seemed like an eternity for twenty-thousand plus Country Music fans at the Route 91 Harvest Festival in Las Vegas. An eternity of hearing the popping, crouching down on the ground, behind fences, barriers, tables, or whatever they could find to shield themselves. An eternity of running, hopping fences, dodging running people, standing people, sitting people, injured people, and even dead people. Dodging parked cars and moving cars. But most important of all, dodging bullets. It was an eternity of not knowing what was happening, where it was happening or why it was happening.
