Are You Living Or Just Existing?

A Message to Those Who Dare to Live

Are you living or simply existing? Is there a difference? If so, is it that big of a deal? Well, yes to both questions. We, as humans, have a bigger purpose than to pay bills and die. We are made for so much more. Our potential shouldn't be based on how much money we make, the type of vehicle we drive or where we vacation. Potential should be based on whether or not we fully lived our lives.

As humans, it is in our nature to dream. We have the power to chase those dreams. Time goes on and people forget their dreams. Why? They get content and they accept what life gave them. People tell you to stop chasing your dreams because of the risk or the cost or the possibility of it not happening. People tell me that my dreams are too big, well they think too small. Never let small minds convince you that your dreams are too big. Some people are scared to chase their dreams and that's alright.

Here's my advice: CHASE THEM ANYWAYS. Martin Luther King once said, "Take the first step in faith. You don't have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step."

Never conform to standards and chase your dreams.

"Never regret anything that has happened in your life, it cannot be changed, undone or forgotten so take it as a lesson learned and move on."

Regrets are something that everyone has. I do and I'm sure you do too. I believe that regrets are something we have to live with and learn to accept. There are some regrets we don't have to bear. Honestly, it's the chances that we don't take that get us in the end. Those are the ones when we lay on our deathbed and question whether we made the right call or not. We question how our life would be different if we'd taken that job opportunity, dated that special person we liked or moved to the city of our dreams. Life is too short to wake up with regrets.

"Sometimes in life, we become so focused on the finish life that we fail to find joy in the journey."

In life, we travel different paths towards goals and we become so fixated that we forget the journey. When you remember the journey and it's trials, you'll be proud of how far you've come. Nobody who lived life ever had it easy.

The greatest people in history had it their trials too. JFK had health issues, Albert Einstein had a learning disability and Michael Jordan cut from his high-school basketball team. Failure is inevitable, you just have to take it in stride.

Are you living or just existing? Imagine this: You are at the end of the road. You look back on the good and bad and wonder what would happen if I did things differently. What would happen if I didn't do this or that? My advice is simple: live life to the fullest, no regrets.

Chase your dreams and be great. Never settle for less. Always strive for the best. Be yourself and be true to who you are. You only have one shot at this life, do it well and once will be enough. So my final question is this: are you living or simply existing?
