A Message from Texxx-Man Cosplay

Words of Encouragement from the Arkansas Cosplayer

2018 is almost over and 2019 is fast approaching. Part of this year has been rough on me. I was homeless and jobless for months before I ended up slowly getting back on my feet. However, there have been some great moments from this year. Back in late July, I returned from a four month hiatus from cosplay, attended GlitchCon with my friends about a week and a half later, started a new job after Labor Day and moved in with a roommate. Finally, in early October, I worked on my first cosplay in over a year, which was The Human Spider. Next year, I'm planning on working on an Aquaman/Red Gyarados mashup that's going to be called Aquados. I might work on another cosplay, but I'm not sure yet.

I've been a content creator for Vocal since March and I love writing about stuff that I'm passionate about. Not only that, I'm a cosplayer. I have been doing cosplay since 2014 and will celebrate five years of being a cosplayer in August 2019. If you were to ask people, including my friends, which character do they recognize me as the most, nine times out of 10, their response will be the Blue Ranger. I love attending conventions every year and meeting people. The majority of the people I've met have ended up being my friends. My goal for 2019 is to go to more conventions. I have somewhat of a huge following on social media. Between my Facebook and Instagram pages, I have nearly 4,000 people following me online. I cosplay, not only to show off my cosplays, but also to become an inspiration to those who are unable to stand or speak up for themselves. Being a cosplayer, in my opinion, is not about the follows and likes. It's about being good to everyone and treating others with respect.

In closing, I want to give everyone some advice going into the New Year. First, always remember that you are somebody and do matter. You may not think you do, but it's true. There are people in this world that care about you and want you to succeed. Also, you have potential. I believe that everyone has potential and talent. If it is your calling to pursue bigger and better opportunities, go for it. Never let that go to waste, because you'll never have a chance to go after them again. Finally, find the beauty in everything, no matter what. Positivity is key and remember that things will eventually work out for you. Negativity will not get you anywhere in life. Toxic people will drag you down and discourage you from doing things you want to do. Surround yourself with people who want you to win and are willing to be in your corner.

I'm looking forward to writing even more amazing articles in 2019. Thanks to everybody at Vocal for showing me love and allowing me to express my thoughts by writing about stuff that matters to me and everyone. Like I've stated earlier in this article, I'm planning on working on this cosplay mashup sometime in 2019. I do have a Patreon page, so if you would like to support me and become a patron, you can find me at Texxxmancosplay. Plus, if you would like to follow me on social media, all of that info is in my bio. Last but not least, if you like the articles I've written and like my content, feel free to send me a small one-off tip that's located towards the end of every article. Your support is greatly appreciated. Happy New Year to each and every one of you and I'll be back writing articles next year.
