7 Ways to Invite Positive Energy into Your Life

Let's face it, we all have had our fair share of bad days, but with a few simple tips, you can avoid letting that black cloud grow and hover over you, and find your own positive energy.

When negative emotions are poorly managed it is not good for your health. Feelings of helplessness and hopelessness and negative attitudes can create internal chronic stress, which upsets the body's hormone balance. It also depletes the brain chemicals required for happiness, and damages the immune system.

If we understood this little tidbit and how powerfully our emotions affect our nervous system, mental health could become a lesser issue worldwide.

It's not about how many obstacles we face in our lives, it's about how we let these things change us and how we learn to overcome them so we're not constantly in the victim state of mind. This kind of negative thinking only by default attracts more negativity energy whether we know it or not.

Instead, don’t give away your power or your happiness.

It's imperative to understand that when you criticize, judge or blame others, you are choosing to focus on what they’re doing wrong or what’s wrong with them. When you do this you give these people the power to control your mood as well as your state of mind.

Ask yourself, why would somebody’s behavior upset you so much that you allow yourself to get irritated about it? The true reason is that you are faced with a mirror of what you need to change in yourself.

Why let others’ behavior affect your mood?

Why give them the power to control your happiness?

You can’t undo anything. It’s done. Forgive others, forgive yourself… learn from your mistakes, learn from others’ mistakes, remember that NO unkind or thoughtless action ever comes from love but from a place of deep inner pain (you can be compassionate to that pain without condoning the acting out of the pain) and release the energetic burden you carry: grudges, resentments, pain, hurt, disappointments, sadness, anger, guilt… let it all go.

  1. Laugh often.
  2. Love and accept yourself. As you are.
  3. Do not dwell on the negatives. It'll only drain you.
  4. Do not speak of your problems, diseases, illnesses, or worries. The more energy you give what is wrong, the more it persists.
  5. Let go of the past.
  6. Don't give away your power or your happiness.
  7. Be grateful.

How can you obtain energy in a positive way?

Start by making a list of anything that makes you feel good and use it as a guide as you learn to become energized from a broad variety of things.

Like for instance, if being in nature is something that energizes you, try spending a little more time outdoors, or near water. If it's the sun that energizes you, then enjoy a few hours soaking it up and taking it in on a more personal level.

  • Meditation

  • Keep a dream journal to write in upon waking
