3 Simple Lessons

You Live and You Learn

As I sit here at 3:53 AM, I think to myself, how did I get to where I am today, then it hit me. Throughout my life I have learned some important things. The things I’ve learned came from simple mistakes.

1. Push yourself.

One thing I always have to remember is to always push myself. If I don’t push myself, I would not know the opportunities that are out there. If I don’t push myself then I complete goals that lead make me one step closer to my successful future. There is no such thing as LIMITATION. That word is used to stop ourselves from accomplishing so many things. Limits do not exist, they only exist to people who set them. I would always set limits for myself, then one day I just said, why do I always do this, I say I’m going to do something and I never do it. I’ve always wanted to do something but I was scared of the outcome. LIMITATION is a word that is created by FEAR. Never fear anything.

2. Pick people wisely.

Another thing that I’ve learned is that other people don’t really care about you dreams. I’ve notice people would rather see your dreams crumble because they don’t want to see you have more than what they have. Isn’t that so weird? Here’s an example. All my friends graduated before I did. I was supposed to graduate last year 2017. My friends were all pretending that they care, and saying that they feel bad for me. My one true friend sent me a screen shot of those girls laughing at me and making jokes calling me a high school drop out, saying I was going to turn into a stripper and date drug dealers. At first I was super angry, so mad I started to cry. I wanted to give up and not go to school for the 5th year. I was so embarrassed to be the 19 year old girl still that is still going to high school. I over thought it too much. The next morning, I went to school and walked up to the group of girls. They were all smiling at me and asking how I’m doing, and basically being fake. I said, I’m great, I can’t wait to become a STRIPPER and date those DRUG DEALERS! The future is looking bright!. The look on their faces when they realized that I knew that they were talking about me was PRICELESS. I wish I took a picture of it. They all apologized, I told them I do not want their fake apologies. I told them I want nothing to do with them and their negative vibes. I told them they don’t know what it feels like to be in my shoes. Well, now I am a high school graduate, accepted to college to become a Social Worker, and I’m making money by doing the one thing I love, writing and complaining about everything and making money doing it. Ha.

3. Don’t give up.

Another thing I’ve learned in life is to never give up, no matter how hard, big or impossible things get. Never give up on yourself even when people give up on you. Never give up when people tell you that you can‘t do it. Never give up when things get to UNBEARABLE. Never give up on your dreams. Never give up on achieving anything. Always be ready to accept failure. Failing something means that you are one more step closer to achieving something. Failing shows you what mistakes you’ve made and how to fix that mistakes. Never, EVER give up.

I hope this helps who ever reads it.
