It was Tuesday and I just sat down at my desk with no motivation at all to get through the day. I looked through my tasks and literally dreaded the idea of completing them all before the end of the day. I'm the type of person who doesn't get inspired to work surrounded by hardworking people—especially that day when I didn't feel like working at all.

Whenever I'm losing the thrive to work, I usually look through social media to get my mind away from work for a bit. As I was scrolling through Instagram, I came across an inspiring quotation that really stood out to me. After clicking on the account, it was a page filled with motivational quotes for work! I jotted down a handful of them in hopes that they'll push me and you to work your best today!

"There are no secrets to success. It is the result of preparation, hard work, and learning from failure." — Colin Powell

We're constantly seeing successful people out there and we always think to ourselves, "How did they become so lucky?" These people have gained so much through their work and it's not something secretive that they're doing. In fact, there are no secrets at all to become successful like these people and that's what Former United States National Security Advisor Colin Powell says here.

These people had dreams and the drive to capture them through hard work and dedication. These are also the type of people who never backed down from a failure—they became stronger from their mistakes. If you believe that you're missing out on something in order to become successful in your life, it's believing and being committed to your duties. You'll be improving yourself at work and in your personal life in no time.

Actor Dwayne Johnson tweeted this a few years back and it's still known to be one of the best motivational quotes for work to always look back at. Success is all based on consistency. If you're not consistent with your work, you're never going to win in life.

Those who are now making it big in their industry have never backed down or completely stopped their grind. Since success doesn't come so easily and quickly; constantly being on top of your work will bring it to you much sooner.

"Keep your dreams alive. Understand to achieve anything requires faith and belief in yourself, vision, hard work, determination, and dedication. Remember all things are possible for those who believe." — Gail Devers

Retired American track and field athlete Gail Devers in her quotation tells us how our dreams can stay alive if we believe in ourselves. You can achieve anything as long as you have faith, belief, determination, hard work, and the dedication to make a change in your life.

We should certainly take Gail's words for granted, especially since she's a two-time Olympic champion! Success doesn't come naturally, but it takes your full belief and strive to make it happen.

"The question isn’t who’s going to let me; it’s who is going to stop me?" — Ayn Rand

In a world where so many people are trying to put you down, all you have to do is work harder and prove your strength. Russian-American novelist and philosopher Ayn Rand states one of the best motivational quotes for work that truly gets us thinking.

Everyone has a shot at becoming successful in their life. Throughout your journey, there will definitely be people who are looking forward to watching you fall and fail miserably. When you keep those hateful people in mind, you'll want to work harder to show those them that you can accomplish anything! It's actually a form of extrinstic motivation.

"Don’t judge each day by the harvest you reap but by the seeds that you plant." — Robert Louis Stevenson

No matter how hard we try at something, there are times when we're not pleased with the outcome. This shouldn't stop anyone from continuing forward in becoming successful. Scottish novelist and musician Robert Louis Stevenson's quotation perfectly nails how to overcome mistakes and unintended outcomes.

You're not supposed to pay attention to the mistakes and misinterpretations that come along the way of achieving your goals. It's the goals that you're focused on that should be paid more attention to.

"Don’t go around saying the world owes you a living. The world owes you nothing. It was here first." — Mark Twain

One of the spine-tingling motivational quotes for work that will help you push forward is American writer Mark Twain's. Someone who's as open-minded and successful as Mark knows what it takes to become huge in an industry.

He states that the world owes you absolutely nothing but offers you what you can use to become victorious. Since life is so unexpected, all you have to do is go with the flow and use what has gifted to you for the best.

"Real courage is when you know you’re licked before you begin, but you begin anyway and see it through no matter what." — Harper Lee

It takes a ton of risk to make your dreams come true. Everyone has to step out of their comfort zone and do things that are out of the ordinary. In this case, amazing American novelist Harper Lee is aware that all successful people constantly took risks in order to be where they are now.

If you're not taking risks, then you're not believing in yourself and you'll never have the ability to achieve your dreams. It's always better to see the outcome of a risk than regret taking the risk at all because you wouldn't have known what would happen if you did.

"Failure is the condiment that gives success its flavor." — Truman Capote

American novelist and actor Truman Capote said one of the most striking motivational quotes for work to start thinking about the next time you fail! All successors have gone through multiple failures throughout their life because nobody is perfect.

The amount of mistakes that you've dealt with only makes your achievements shine brighter because it shows what you've gone through in order to become what you are today. Never believe that failures and mistakes will prevent you from accomplishing your goals, but things to boost your motivation.

"If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader." — John Quincy Adams

Our sixth president of the US John Quincy Adams clearly states how to become a leader in your field. If your dreams and actions inspire others to do the same, you're automatically a leader.

Being a leader guides others to follow your footsteps in making a change. It also shows to never back down and allow failures to stop you from pushing forward. It's almost like a kind of manifestation process that really works.

"Always remember that you are absolutely unique. Just like everyone else." — Margaret Mead

Lastly, American cultural anthropologist Margaret Mead reminds us in one of her motivational quotes for work that we're an individual being who has a clear shot at making it big in our lives. Every single person on earth possesses a unique and diverse mind which plays an important role in becoming triumphant.

A creative mind leads to a successful life because you're thinking outside of the box. You'll go nowhere if you're constantly following others and avoid taking risks. Use your unique abilities to make a change and hopefully inspire others to do the same!
